Due to shifting policies, China’s environmental authorities are becoming increasingly stringent in both the regulatory approvals process, monitoring and enforcement of environmental laws and regulations. Grandall takes a two-pronged approach focusing its efforts on counseling clients on risk-reduction and compliance and when necessary advocates for its clients in litigation proceedings.

Grandall attorneys assist public and private sector clients in avoiding environmental liability and other regulatory issues:

• Counseling clients on risk-reduction / risk-avoidance measures and establishing and implementing environmental compliance policies

• Representing clients in environmental litigation and administrative matters

• Representing manufacturers and other heavy industries in relation to environmental compliance

• Environmental Due Diligence in relation to M&A and IPOs

• Representing real estate developers in relation to environmental impact issues and risk reduction
